Connecting With The Earth
I have just given myself some much needed time lying and connecting with the earth beneath me. As I lay flat on the grass, Tiger sat close beside me (she found this very exciting), and I slowly relaxed and softened into the ground.
My mind told me the ground was hard and uncomfortable but as I took my time I noticed myself soften into the earth.
“I feel so grateful to nature for holding me and embracing me in this moment of tension.”
Rachel Podger
My breath changed and with this my attention moved into my body and I realised it was me that was stiff and emptied out from busyness. I had been caught in my thoughts and with this awareness I once more gently realigned myself with nature and it’s expansive holding, my spaciousness restored and inner resources restocked.
I feel so grateful to nature for holding me and embracing me in this moment of tension. In this letting go I took in all of its beauty and allowed myself to be fed by all of my senses, to truly bathe in its presence.
