A feeling of movement and hope

A Feeling of Movement and Hope

“In troubled times, you can justify your existence simply by shifting things around.” - Carla Carlisle

I have just read an article and was struck by the quote above.  There is definitely something freeing and uplifting, which gives me a sense of purpose, when I shift things around, particularly if I’m feeling stuck.  It allows me to connect with a feeling of movement and hope, both internally and externally, and afterwards I feel a sense of freedom and joy.  It is as if I have decluttered my mind by moving things around externally.

This is a process which requires time and effort and I can become resistant to it!  It is as if a part of me wants me to allow myself to feel and embody the chaos within me, before I can act on my impulse to move things around.

“It is infinitely more fun and playful when I embrace the process of change, and even more so when I am kind towards myself during this.”

Rachel Podger

I have noticed that if I remain curious and open to exploration and shifting things around, I am able to meet my resistance and apprehension to this task with curiosity, and hence more of an open heart, and am able to use my mindfulness techniques that I know will help me with this.

I can then make a conscious decision as to whether it is time to not only shift things around but actually let them go and move on.  It is infinitely more fun and playful when I embrace the process of change, and even more so when I am kind towards myself during this.  I have learnt through the experience of this that it is healthy to have movement in my life as it shifts and changes my perspective, especially, and even more so in troubled times.
