Early Morning Thoughts

Early Morning Thoughts

This morning I woke early and took time to notice my thoughts. I’m in the middle of taking a few days holiday, and having space to do this feels like taking time to clear out and sort through a room I’ve not made enough time for. Listening to the silence and the sound of birds, particularly the pigeons at this moment, feels restorative and peaceful.  There is more time for me to “be” and witness how much time I spend doing. I then notice my thoughts move towards getting up and walking, and then I come back to this space right now and feel more fully present and alive in this moment; I experience a different quality to my “being”.

There is so much more I hope to achieve in this second half of my life, and as I connect now, I realise it starts with being in this very moment and allowing my thoughts and noticing where they take me. I’ll go for a walk and enjoy nature and its joys in a little while!
