The Busyness of Everyday Life

The Busyness of Everyday Life

At many points over the last few weeks, I have been reminded to take in the good amidst the busyness of everyday life. Often, when we are busy, it is easy to get caught in negative thoughts and become stressed and anxious. Although this is a perfectly normal response, these emotions can cause us to lose touch with ourselves and the things we enjoy. When I find myself feeling especially busy, being outdoors and taking some time to connect with nature helps me leave the busyness of day-to-day life behind for a short period of time. I also find that taking advantage of mindfulness techniques enables me to remain in the present moment.

This week, the mornings have been lighter and I have had the chance to pause and take in the warmness of the spring sun. On my walks, the sounds of nature have left me feeling grateful for all of the positive things I have been fortunate enough to experience. Every day, I am reminded of happy times and fond memories, which encourages me to remember the good, regardless of how busy life may seem.
