Peace and Quiet

Peace and Quiet

As I listened to the hooting of the owls early this morning, I felt deeply grateful for the peace and quiet. It highlighted their beautiful sounds and allowed their dialogue to travel further through the air, bringing them closer to me.  Relaxing into this peace and quiet, I became aware of my breath. This sense of stillness, combined with my wonder at the sounds of the owls, gently travelled throughout my entire body. I gave myself time to stay within this experience and absorb the fullness of its beauty and presence.

“This sense of stillness, combined with my wonder at the sounds of the owls, gently travelled throughout my entire body.”

Rachel Podger

Later in the day, I noticed the hot flushes I have experienced more frequently over the past few weeks, particularly in the morning, have been less evident. I am once again reminded of the healing properties of nature and the importance of my connection with it. I will draw on this inner peace and the sounds of the owls as I take time to pause and be still at moments throughout the day.
