The Gift of Sight and Light

The Gift of Sight and Light

This week, I have continued connecting to my senses, with my focus drawn to sight and, in particular, the impact that light has on my mood. At various stages throughout the day, I have found that the light reminds me to look up and take in the myriad of colours surrounding me. Some of the trees are gold in the early morning, and their beauty leaves me feeling so grateful for the gift of sight and the ability it gives me to take in and appreciate their beauty, stature, and presence.

In this moment of connection, I am aware of the sense of the enormity and impact that light has blessed me with. My entire being feels refreshed and rejuvenated by this experience. Similar to the sound of the owls the other morning, I will continue to draw on the gift of sight and light as it helps me find my way back to beauty and joy, and I will also appreciate the healing power of nature.
